Visioni Sarde @Salotto.NYC
April 18 7pm EDT
SALOTTO FL1, 84 Withers St, Brooklyn, NY 11211
Join us at Salotto for a curated screening of five exceptional short films from Sardinia, showcasing the island's vibrant culture and its emerging cinematic talent.
Visioni Sarde was born in 2014 within the historic festival “Visioni Italiane”, created by the critics and experts of the Cineteca di Bologna to narrate Sardinia through cinema. Over the years, the festival has captured the attention of the public, industry professionals, and critics for the quality of the selected works and for its focus on new trends, offering the filmmakers the opportunity to reach the widest possible national and international audience.
The titles screened at Salotto will be:
Tilipirche, (18′) by Francesco Piras
Spiaggia libera, (14′) by Ludovica Zedda
Incappucciati, foschi, (16′) by Nicola Camoglio
Senza te (Without you), (13′) by Sergio Falchi
Santamaria, (18′) by Andrea Deidda
The short movies will be introduced by Valeria Orani, Curator Creative Producer, and President of the Community Disterra.US
The screening will be the first of Lacanalzu (Neighbors), a series of events to celebrate Sardinia across the U.S. The upcoming screenings of the Visioni Sarde film festival will take place in May at the Italian Cultural Institute of New York and San Francisco.
Reception provided by Rimessa Roscioli.
